I just got this studio sample album in and I’m extremely excited about it! It’s a hard-bound, flush-mount album with a wrap-around image cover that is perfect for engagement sessions, bridal sessions, and guest books.
Actually, it works great as a guest book because you can write directly on the page!

So, typically, I choose 10 - 15 images of a session to put up here on the blog. However, with Camille + John’s engagement session, I just couldn’t choose so few favorites! Instead, I’ve decided to just post a slideshow of my favorites.
I wrote a bit about Camille + John already, and how they wanted to do an urban engagement session. So, we met up in downtown Los Angeles at the Walt Disney Concert Hall. From there, we went to the Dorothy Chandler Pavillion, and, finally, to Pershing Square. Along the way, we stopped off at a cool Italian restaurant, and just had a great time walking the streets of downtown Los Angeles.
Anyway, I can’t wait to shoot their wedding in August. It’s going to rock!
Enjoy the slideshow!
(Oh, and will someone please leave a comment? I’m feeling alone in here!)
When Camille and John mentioned in our initial consultation that they would much prefer an urban engagement session than a beach one, I knew that they were a perfect match for where I was taking this studio.
It also helps that they’re extremely fun, and were up for anything during their session in downtown Los Angeles. They even introduced me to Dim Sum afterwards at one of Camille’s favorite restaraunts in the area. Without them, I would have never known what to order! I’ll say more about the locations when I post the actual engagement photos, but I am SOOO happy with the way their engagement photos are turning out!
Anyway, here’s the teaser photo! The others are coming in a few days.
Enjoy!

Although it looks like it, I don’t just photograph weddings. I love shooting families and children as well! In honor of Father’s Day, here’s a few photos from a recent shoot of 4-week old baby Ella.

I had a great time shooting Karen and Patrick’s engagement session in Piedmont Park in Atlanta, GA a couple of weeks ago.
Here are a few of my favorites from our session.

I met Karen and Patrick at Piedmont Park in Atlanta, GA this past Sunday for their engagement shoot. These two are so in love, and it shows in the way they look at each other. Karen is constantly smiling the biggest smile you can imagine (even when you ask her not to for just one photo…).
Patrick is also a photographer himself, so there’s a certain amount of pressure involved with shooting other photographers. That aside, we had a great time just walking around Piedmont Park and enjoying the beautiful day.
Here’s a teaser from their shoot - I’ll post more in a couple of weeks.
Thanks guys - I had a great time!

I recently had the pleasure of shooting a bridal session for Michelle in Savannah, Georgia. Michelle is an amazing person to be around so this shoot was a breeze. She took the fact that it was raining outside in stride and we decided to do the session in her hotel room. After the rain stopped, we went across the street to a parking garage for a different look.
Michelle and Ville got married this past weekend at the Mansion on Forsyth Park in Savannah so be on the lookout for their wedding photos in the coming weeks!

This part of the year is the slowest part for wedding photography. Few people want to get married in the winter, and even fewer people want to brave the showers that April brings. So, I’ve decided to post a few of my favorite sessions from the past until things get going again.
The first one is an engagement session that I really enjoyed shooting as it allowed me to stretch my creative legs a bit. Alyssa and Elliot’s favorite movie is a Hong Kong art film called “In the Mood for Love”. It’s an extremely stylized film where every frame is beautiful. The overview of the story is that he loves her, and she loves him, but they’re both married to other people so they can’t be together (I know - *Raunchy!*).
Rather than doing yet another engagement session at the beach, I suggested that we go to Union Station in Los Angeles and try and recreate the look and feel of the film with their engagement photos. They were great sports and jumped in with both feet. The first photo contains two stills from the movie so you can have an idea of the style of it. The rest is all about recreating art.
Enjoy - and I’d love to hear your comments!
