michelle + ville in savannah, ga

I’ve gotten a bit behind with the blog recently so sorry about that! Time to blog Michelle + Ville’s wedding now though… They got married at the Mansion on Forsyth Park in Savannah, GA. Man, this venue is THE place to get married in Savannah if you’re into the modern, art deco vibe! We had a great time wandering the halls taking great portraits… there wasn’t a bad backdrop in this place.

Anyway, I had shot Michelle’s bridal session already, so we were already great friends… but I hadn’t met Ville yet so I was really looking forward to doing so. He turned out to be just as great to work with as Michelle was.

Thank you for letting me be a part of your day guys - I had a great time!

A bit about this next shot. Ville and Michelle chose to not see each other prior to the ceremony. While I was talking to Michelle about their plans, she mentioned that they moved their wedding from Finland to Georgia because her dad had cancer. I knew immediately that I had to set up a moment between the two of them where he gets to see his daughter, in her wedding dress, for the first time - a bit like a groom seeing his bride for the first time. I knew this series of photos would be special to their family… I’m so glad I had that opportunity to set this up.
