Q: What is an Art Book?
A: In short: The most kick a$$ way to display your photos – period.
I just received an amazing studio sample Art Book, and wanted to show it off. This album is a panoramic flush-mount album with brown leather and a blue acrylic cover upgrade.
Take a look –

I had the greatest time shooting engagement photos for Kristen + Aaron in New York! Kristen and I have so much to relate to as well. Like me, she’s from Georgia and she also went to the University of Georgia ( edit: or was it Georgia State? Hmmmm… )!
Both of them are just great fun to spend the day with. We walked around New York and ended up shooting in Grand Central Station, Central Park, and the Metropolitan Museum of Art! It sounds a bit cliche I’m sure, but man, I love New York!
I can’t wait to shoot your wedding next year guys!

When Lily sent me a link to a video of a trash the dress session a week before her wedding and called it “inspiration”, I knew this shoot was going to be amazing. For the record, I think “Trash the Dress” has gotten a bad rap by some – Lily’s dress was definitely not trashed at the end of the session (just a bit wet and dirty). Nothing a little elbow grease can’t get out.
I had seen photos of brides and grooms rolling around in the surf or wading into the water a bit from other photographers. However, I wanted to take that concept a bit farther and go UNDER the water. So, that’s what we did!
I’d love to hear what you think – leave comments below.

I’ve traveled a great deal this year to shoot weddings and engagement sessions, but nowhere quite as beautiful as Aruba! From the moment I stepped foot in my hotel room and found a goody bag waiting for me, Lily + Lars treated me and my family like their guests. It was such a great experience working with these guys as they’re such amazing people to be around.
Aruba was the perfect setting for their beautiful wedding on the beach. The weather was fantastic, and the scenery is picturesque.
I have so many favorites from this wedding that I’m going to break this post into 2 parts. The first part is the wedding day itself, while the second part will be the Day After Session where we get a bit more, ummm, wild. The second part will be going up tomorrow, so be sure and check back for that!

How cute are these wedding trolls? Word is that these trolls travel from wedding couple to wedding couple bestowing goodness all around… a bit like a wedding photographer such as myself I’d imagine…

Karen + Patrick got married in Atlanta, GA at the Callanwolde Fine Arts Center. Karen had to be the most relaxed bride I have ever shot. Just before the ceremony I found her relaxing upstairs with her dad with a huge smile. She wore that smile the entire day.
However, my favorite part of the day by far was when her brothers performed an amazing dancing rendition of “My Little Buttercup”.
Thank you both for allowing me to be a part of your lives!

Ryan + Todd are just the sorts of people who you know are cooler than you. I had that sneaking suspicion when I shot their engagement session, and it was definitely confirmed when I saw their first dance. These guys do swing like it’s meant to be done – loose, spontaneous, but totally in control of the beat. I tip my hat to both of you – not only are you two amazingly fun people, but you’re also cooler than I’ll ever be.
Thank you for letting me be a part of your lives guys!

I hate to sound self-indulgent, but I rocked the socks off of this wedding in Aruba! I can’t wait to show you the rest, but, for now, here’s a teaser from Lily + Lars’ AMAZING wedding in Aruba!

You might remember Camille + John from their awesome engagement session, or even that they were the first ever beneficiaries of the amazing JParker Studio Photobooth.
Both Camille + John are such great people to be around, and I am so glad that I could be there on their wedding day. I can’t say enough how much I enjoyed my time with them since meeting them over a year ago.
Guys – I can’t wait for the housewarming party! See you then!
P.S. How cool is it that they had a cotton candy machine at their wedding?!?!
